This is so much more than just a slogan. It has to be a part of our culture and our DNA if we are going to accomplish the mission Jesus gave us. We make disciples who will make disciples because every person needs God's forgiveness for sin and a personal relationship with Him. In that relationship as a disciple, each person should be growing closer to God and becoming more like Jesus.
We make disciples who will make disciples because Jesus modeled it and commanded us to do so. Being a disciple who makes disciples is a joy, a blessing, an opportunity to increase our faith, and a privilege to see God at work in someone else's life as He uses us.
What does a disciple look like?
You must know what a disciple is if you are to be a disciple and make disciples. Jesus provided an easy-to-understand picture of a disciple in Matthew 4:19, "And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."
In the simplest terms, a disciple is one who: 1) Knows & Follows Jesus, 2) Being Changed by Jesus, and 3) Committed to the Mission of Jesus.
This guide will equip D-Group leaders to have intentional discipleship conversations, coach group members toward spiritual growth, and help everyday disciples discover their calling and live on mission. It will also provide practical tools and encouragement to lead with clarity, purpose, and gospel-centered vision.
